La vita e bella (and so is my hair!)
Sunday, May 2, 2010 at 1:53PM I thought this video was too lovely not to share, so much so that I actually figured out how to load videos onto my blog! Having had my hair cut in 4 different countries I've noticed a distinct difference in cutting techniques and styles. My favorite country for getting my hair cut is Italy. What I love is that no matter which salon I visit, Italians really know how to cut naturally wavy hair so that it looks good no matter how it’s styled and even can be air dried without the frizz fear. If you’ve ever visited Italy then you probably noticed how stylish the women are and their hair is part of completing any outfit. The fact that hair salons are on practically every corner and really affordable (I once got a cut and dry in Dorga, Italy for 23 euros = approx 30 US dollars) makes beauty accessible to all women.
For the history buffs out there FYI this video was filmed in a hotel room in the Imperial Palace Hotel in Santa Margherita, Italy next to the room where the Germans and Russians signed the Treaty of Rapallo thereby ending all of the admin points of WWI in 1922 (although the war ended 4 years prior they were still figuring out where their borders would be drawn). Also check out the view from the balcony and frescos on the ceiling at the end of the video.
